Job Overview

Gallagher Bassett is a leading provider of risk management solutions, seeking an experienced Senior Risk Manager to lead and oversee our risk function.

This critical role focuses on identifying, assessing, and managing financial and non-financial risks across our business units to ensure effective delivery of services.

The successful candidate will safeguard clients, drive continuous improvement in risk management frameworks, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

About You

  • Extensive experience in risk management, compliance, and/or audit practices, preferably within the disability or financial services sector.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to foster a positive team culture and drive high performance.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior risk leadership role, ideally within financial services or disability-related industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements relevant to plan management services.
  • Demonstrated success in embedding a quality improvement and risk-aware culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of risk, compliance, and audit professionals.
  • Oversight of operational and compliance incidents, including system errors, inefficiencies, and fraud risks.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to assess financial and non-financial risks, embedding effective controls and mitigation strategies across the plan management process.
  • Partnership with GB's Risk & Compliance team to ensure adherence to relevant global and local requirements.
