We are seeking a highly experienced Environmental Planner to join our growing Environment, Climate and Sustainability team in Brisbane.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to the planning and delivery of various projects across infrastructure, energy, defence and water sectors.

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant tertiary qualification and minimum 8+ years' experience in town planning, environmental and planning approvals, and environmental impact assessment.

They should have demonstrated knowledge of the Queensland and Commonwealth planning and environmental approvals framework, process and legislation, relevant to infrastructure projects.

Experience engaging with regulators to progress planning and environmental approvals is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide planning and environmental advice to project teams
  • Prepare approval applications and oversee the preparation of planning and environmental assessments and approvals
  • Mentor and guide junior members of the team
  • Contribute to identifying new project opportunities and developing strong client relationships
Requirements:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Town/Urban Planning, environmental science/engineering or related field
  • Minimum 8+ years' experience in town planning, environmental and planning approvals, and environmental impact assessment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Queensland and Commonwealth planning and environmental approvals framework, process and legislation, relevant to infrastructure projects
  • Experience engaging with regulators to progress planning and environmental approvals
