Alpha Omega Aged Care and Disability Service is hiring support workers in a casual or part-time permanent basis.

Job Summary:

To provide care and assistance to elderly and disability clients, enabling them to live independently and maintain their wellbeing in a home or community setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with daily living tasks for clients at their homes, including showering, changing clothes, brushing their teeth etc.
  • Transporting and accompanying clients as required.
  • Performing housekeeping duties such as domestic cleaning, laundry, food preparation and shopping.
  • Training clients to care for themselves and educating family members.
  • Providing social support to improve clients' overall wellbeing and independence.
  • Administrative duties include clocking in/out after each shift, making incident reports and entering shift notes on the rostering app.
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Fluency in Arabic/Assyrian is essential.
  • Fully vaccinated and including a booster jab.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience supporting people with disabilities and/or elderly individuals.
  • Certificate Level III in Individual Support (Disability or Home, Social and Community Service) (desirable), or willingness to upskill through online training.
  • Full driver licence and access to a vehicle.
