Forensic Engineer

We are seeking a Forensic Engineer to provide expert advice on all things forensic engineering in our CRD Team located within our Sunshine Coast office. CRD is a division of Crawford & Company which offers Engineering, Quantity Surveying and Building Consultancy services to the insurance industry.
As a Forensic Engineer, you will be responsible for inspecting and reporting on building related matters, including preparing causation reports on defects and damages to buildings and associated structures. You will also provide technical advice and detailed scope of works and cost estimates in accordance with Australian Standards and Building Code of Australia.
We are open to hearing from you if you have remedial/structural engineering experience, and most importantly, have a can-do attitude, and are willing to grow your career within the forensic engineering/insurance space.
About You
The role will suit candidates who can demonstrate sound technical experience in Forensic Engineering (min 3+ years), excellent technical report writing skills, and excellent client relationship and communication skills. You will also need to have high motivation, responsibility, sound judgement and customer focus, as well as previous experience documenting and leading a diverse range of projects.

Key Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably structural engineering), Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or National Engineering Register (NER) qualified, at least 3 years' experience as a Civil/Structural Engineer, and a thorough knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards.
We are looking for someone who can scope and estimate cost of repairs to domestic, commercial and industrial properties, and support conclusions by appropriate expert testimony in legal proceedings.
