Senior Data Solution Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Solution Architect to join our team at Commonwealth Bank of Australia. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing industry-leading group data products.

As a Senior Data Solution Architect, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, from big data platforms to data warehousing and enterprise analytics solutions. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to drive strategic goals and minimize risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end Big Data solutions using Hadoop ecosystem components like Hive, HDFS, Pig, HBase, Flume, Kafka, Sqoop, YARN, Impala.\
• Produce conceptual, logical, and physical data models using data modeling techniques such as Data Vault, Kimball, 3NF, etc.\
• Design data warehousing and enterprise analytics-based solutions using Teradata or relevant data platforms.\
• Demonstrate expertise in design patterns (FSLDM, IBM IFW DW) and data modeling frameworks including dimensional, star, and non-dimensional schemas.\
• Drive cost-effective and technologically feasible solutions while steering solution decisions across the group to meet operational and strategic goals.\
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with existing information architectural design.\
• Possess commendable experience in implementing solutions on Cloudera Hadoop and Teradata platforms.\\
• Strong background in managing multiple stakeholder groups.\\
• Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.\\
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to execute state-of-the-art coding practices.\\
• Strong blend of skills in data design, data modeling, and implementing end-to-end Big Data solutions.\\
• Familiarity with integration tools and knowledge of Pega decision systems desirable.\\
• Broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks used, including Hadoop/Teradata platform, Spark, TCF, and various ETL frameworks.\\
• Knowledge of data modeling frameworks, data warehousing concepts, and enterprise analytics solutions.\\
