Facility management is a vital component of building operations, ensuring the upkeep and functionality of properties.

As a Facility Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of various systems within an organization, including utilities, HVAC, and life safety systems.

Key duties include:

  • Managing work orders, tax invoices, and contracts
  • Delivering operational expenditure budgets against forecast
  • Maintaining compliance with quality management systems
  • Coordinating maintenance and operational issues with stakeholders
  • Responding to after-hours calls as required
  • Updating asset registers and preventative maintenance planners
  • Managing contractors in accordance with health and safety policies
  • Monitoring building management control systems
  • Inspecting plant and equipment for operational readiness
  • Participating in operational healthchecks
  • Completing compliance reporting

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • At least 5 years' experience in facilities management, preferably from an administrative or technical background
  • Demonstrated experience in high-volume roles with conflicting priorities
  • Negotiation and contract enforcement skills
  • Understanding of Australian standards, regulations, and risk management principles
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good decision-making, influencing, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • A customer-centric focus with strong community awareness
  • Knowledge of HSE&S and risk management regulations
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
