Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Specialist to join our team at Merrylands High School. As an Educational Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality educational programs for students with special needs.

About the Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering tailored educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of students with autism, emotional disturbance, mild intellectual disabilities, and moderate intellectual disabilities. You will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure that students receive the best possible support to achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and deliver high-quality educational programs that meet the individual needs of students with special needs.
  2. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to develop Personalised Learning Plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
  3. Support academic growth, including numeracy and literacy targets, for students in support classes.
  4. Develop strong relationships with students, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.


Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
  1. Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with autism, emotional disturbance, mild intellectual disabilities, and moderate intellectual disabilities.
  2. Demonstrated ability to design and deliver quality educational programs that cater to diverse learning needs.
  3. Proven commitment to ongoing professional growth and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.


What We Offer: In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive remuneration package valued at up to $134,570.00 per annum, consisting of a base salary range of $75,791.00 to $120,322.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation.
