About the Role

Sylvanvale Limited is a leading not-for-profit service provider that supports individuals with disability. We are seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality health-related supports to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with key staff to develop and implement effective personal support plans that meet client needs and NDIS Practice Standards.
  • Provide guidance and advice on Mealtime Management Plans and their implementation.
  • Deliver dysphagia training across the organization using evidence-based best practices.
  • Review and modify Mealtime Management Plans, and conduct competency assessments of workers implementing these plans.
  • Develop regular reporting and produce reports on the quality of health supports and compliance obligations.
  • Facilitate collaboration with multidisciplinary medical and allied health providers, and participate in complex case reviews.
Requirements
  • Certified membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Experience working with adults with communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Ability to design, review, and enhance client personal support plans in mealtime management.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage constructively and respectfully with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven ability for critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to present information simply.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills.
  • Flexibility to travel across the greater Sydney metropolitan area and Blue Mountains areas.
  • Adherence to the Code of Ethics set out by Speech Pathology Australia.
Desirable
  • Practical understanding and/or experience of the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators.
  • Coaching and/or mentoring experience.
