A challenging and exciting role for recent or soon-to-be graduates in Geomatics, GIS, or related fields is available to support GIS project development, spatial analysis, and data management.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough spatial analysis, mapping, and modelling to meet environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Support data collection in the field and integrate results into GIS systems, ensuring seamless workflow.
- Analyse and interpret geospatial data for site assessments, producing clear and actionable reports with concise findings.
- Maintain and update GIS databases, guaranteeing accuracy, accessibility, and currency of all datasets.
- Create high-quality maps and visual presentations to communicate research effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and clients, providing GIS and data management expertise and insight.
- Respond promptly to mapping requests and ensure GIS data quality, meeting set standards.
- A degree in Geomatics, GIS, or a related field is essential for this position.
- Proficiency in ESRI Suite and QGIS is required, as well as skills in spatial analysis, data management, and cartography.
- Familiarity with ESDAT and environmental data management is preferred, along with experience working in Australia.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial for success in this role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is also necessary.
