Our GIS team is seeking an enthusiastic Spatial Data Analyst to join us. As a key member of our team, you will work with our established geospatial system using a range of spatial tools to provide support and advice on geographical information, maintain GIS databases and develop innovative GIS solutions to support corporate business and management projects and priorities.

You will be responsible for undertaking project requirements such as data modelling, manipulation, visualisation and development of professional cartographic map products and providing accurate and timely spatial information using GIS that is appropriate to the needs of the Council.

Additionally, you will have experience in undertaking business analysis activities such as consultation, process mapping, project management and documentation development as well as change management principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake project requirements and deliver high-quality results
  • Provide technical support and advice on geographical information
  • Develop and maintain GIS databases and applications
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address spatial data needs

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Geospatial Science or related field
  • Proven experience of GIS software (QGIS, MapInfo) and related programming
  • Proven experience of SQL Server spatial databases and data manipulation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
