A clinical practice advisor position has become available, specialising in assistive technology.

This key role supports and guides occupational therapy teams by sharing expertise, providing clinical advice, mentoring team members, and promoting high-quality client-centred care.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership in assistive technology, including mobility equipment, communication devices, and environmental control systems.

  • Support therapists across South Australia through mentoring, consultation, and clinical guidance in AT assessment, prescription, and implementation.
  • Promote best practice in AT service delivery aligned with NDIS processes and prescription pathways.
  • Maintain a clinical caseload to stay current and lead by example in AT practice.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of AT services, tools, and resources.
Your Responsibilities
  • Deliver targeted education in assistive technology to support skill development across the team.
  • Uphold quality standards and contribute to compliance, risk management, and documentation processes within AT service delivery.
About You
  • You must have a relevant bachelor's degree in occupational therapy and 5+ years' experience as an occupational therapist.
  • You should have specialist and advanced knowledge in assistive technology.
  • You will be able to deliver occupational therapy directly to clients as part of an independent caseload.
  • You will also have experience supervising, coaching, and mentoring occupational therapists.
  • Strong knowledge of the disability, health, and aged care sectors, including NDIS and community-based settings is required.
  • You need full Australian working rights, access to your own vehicle, and a current driver's licence.
  • An NDIS Workers Check and Working with Children Check are also necessary.
