Payroll Officer Role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our dynamic payroll team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End to end payroll processing for 2000+ employees on a weekly & fortnightly basis using Chris21.
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to all relevant industry awards and stay up to date with any changes to legislation.
  • Preparation of monthly payroll reports and end of year processing.
  • Preparation and payment of all State and Federal tax obligations including PAYG tax, Payroll tax, Superannuation Guarantee contributions.
  • Managing superannuation, leave entitlement and payments.
  • Liaise with ATO on any issues.
  • Answering all payroll queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of previous experience processing end to end payroll is expected.
  • Knowledge and experience using Chris21 and/or Dayforce is highly regarded but not essential to the role.
  • Ability to interpret awards and legislation.
  • Being able to operate with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
