Commercial Claims Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Claims Specialist to join our team in Sydney.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work as the primary contact for a portfolio of client and insurance claims, ensuring that they are managed within agreed timelines.
You will be responsible for advocacy on complex Financial Lines and Transaction Liability Insurance matters, including strategy and front-end advice regarding coverage and liability issues, as well as monitoring and reviewing regulatory and case law developments.
The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, commercial claims experience, and a working knowledge of Financial Lines. They will also have experience taking on additional role responsibilities and be able to apply a fit-for-purpose project management approach.
Key Responsibilities- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to manage client general claims from initiation to resolution.
- Allocated a portfolio of claims, you will be the primary point of contact for the client and insurer, responsible for ensuring claims are managed within agreed KPIs.
- Responsible for day-to-day contact for the claim from initial notification through to finalisation.
- Handling training and development of claims consultants nationwide.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Commercial claims experience with a strong working knowledge of Financial Lines.
- Ability to work and positively contribute as a member of the team.
- Ability to apply a fit-for-purpose project management approach.
- Strong prioritisation and time management skills.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Outcome-focused, able to overcome obstacles and deliver designated outcomes.
