About the RoleWe seek a permanent Mechanical Trade qualified Fitter to join our team based at Mackay QLD (with some travel to surrounding sites required).
Key Responsibilities:• Perform mechanical servicing, maintenance, installations and upgrades of fixed and mobile plant and equipment.
• Assist in managing shutdowns.
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance tasks including fault finding and repairs to mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Prepare and submit maintenance reports as requested.
• Record keeping for compliance using our SAP platform.
Applicants will have relevant trade certificates in mechanical, fitting and turning, boiler making or similar. You will have proven fault-finding capabilities and be proactive and safety focused. You should have computer literacy, motivation, reliability, and time management skills. A high standard of communication is required. Ability to work at heights and within confined spaces is necessary. Qualifications for these tasks would be preferred.
Our ideal candidate will be able to prioritize tasks effectively and manage workload efficiently. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adaptability will also be valuable assets.
