Job Title: Social Worker

  • The Oasis Child Neuropsychiatry Inpatient Unit at a specialist hospital in Melbourne provides assessment and care planning for children aged up to 12 years with neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • A range of consultation services, brief emergency admissions, and planned assessment admissions are provided by a multidisciplinary team.
  • The unit collaborates with local child and youth mental health services to ensure integrated and effective care tailored to individual needs.
  • The Child Neuropsychiatry Unit is a centre of excellence with an active clinical and research program integrating knowledge from psychiatry, paediatrics, neurology, and other specialist medical and allied health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing individually targeted interventions, group programs, and specialist consultation and education to families, schools, and community-based services.
  • Contributing to joint formulation and intervention planning for children admitted to the unit.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support.
