This is a crucial role in healthcare credentialing and recruitment for the Australian Defence force.

We are looking for a talented professional who is passionate about mental health and has a strong understanding of clinical governance.

]

As a Clinical Governance Officer - Mental Health, you'll support the credentialing, compliance, and quality improvement processes for mental health professionals.

]

This role ensures the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality care by conducting clinical credentialing, overseeing training initiatives, and contributing to risk and complaint management processes.

]

You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in mental health services by:

  • Supporting credentialing and compliance processes for mental health roles
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of mental health training programs
  • Investigating clinical incidents and complaints, and contributing to professional improvement plans
  • Participating in strategic planning and quality improvement activities

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Mental Health or Psychology, with current AHPRA registration
  • At least 3 years of full-time work experience in a mental health role, post-registration, within the last 6 years
  • Experience in clinical interviewing, credentialing, and delivering clinical education and training
  • Skills in clinical incident investigations, complaints management, and peer review processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong proficiency in IT systems
  • Flexibility and adaptability in highly changing environments
