Estimator Position in Sydney

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Spring Professional, specializing in commercial fitout projects in Sydney.

About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity for a skilled Estimator to manage the estimating function for commercial fitout projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in estimating commercial fitouts and a strong understanding of the Sydney market.

The role involves overseeing the bid process, working closely with subcontractors, preparing and submitting tenders, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will also play a key role in coordinating project handovers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex tender documentation and assess scope and cost implications accurately.
  • Prepare BOQs (Bills of Quantities) and complete Take Offs using Bluebeam software.
  • Assess project requirements, scope, and cost implications accurately.
  • Develop and maintain established relationships with local subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Pursue career growth and learning opportunities within the company.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in estimating commercial fitouts.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A solid understanding of construction procedures, trade scopes, and estimating principles.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of current building rates in Sydney.
