Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled ICT professional to undertake a Desktop Support Analyst role. The successful candidate will play an integral part in the maintenance of government buildings and management of key state projects.

About the Role:

  • The incumbent will support all ITIL processes, particularly Problem and Incident Management
  • They will provide desktop environment support including software and hardware remotely
  • Provision of physical support as required
  • Building and rebuilding of PCs and laptops, including installation of specialist software
  • Completion of various forms supporting processes
  • Creating, maintaining and supporting processes, documentation and knowledge base entries

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Highly developed written and oral communication skills, particularly in discussing technical matters with non-technical people
  2. Sound analytical and problem solving skills
  3. Ability to take ownership of tickets, including tracking, monitoring, following up, prioritising, escalating incidents and coordinating with appropriate resources to resolve them in a timely manner
  4. Ability to maintain a written general knowledge of all issues and their resolutions
  5. Proficient in supporting a Windows based environment, Active Directory and a range of common office software
  6. Experience in installing and configuring hardware
  7. Developed working knowledge of desktop computing environments, including hardware, operating systems and standard software packages
  8. Awareness of ITIL processes and procedures is an advantage
  9. Possess a current Western Australia Class C Drivers licence
