Job Summary:

Jumbo Operator

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Jumbo Operator in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for drilling and bolting of incline, decline, drift and mass excavation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drilling and bolting of incline, decline, drift and mass excavation;
  • Ground support, consisting of bolt and mesh;
  • Identify and remedy misfires;
  • Conduct prestart checks of equipment and drill site;
  • Monitor and operate the drill rig control panel;
  • Read and follow worksheets and drill patterns;
  • Ensure that work is carried out through adherence to specifications, schedules, and standards;

Requirements:

  • Be safety-focused and have a positive can-do attitude;
  • Must have extensive experience in a high-speed single heading development environment;
  • Be highly driven to achieve project targets, safely and efficiently;
  • Experience operating Sandvik Jumbos (D422i) would be advantageous.
