Senior Laboratory Operations Manager

As a senior leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency of our laboratory in Perth, Western Australia. This role involves managing workflow to meet customer expectations, conducting training and toolbox talks, and planning and delivering training programs for employees.

Key responsibilities include coordinating with customers, performing and supervising routine test work, and liaising with clients to maintain their expectations. You will also play a key role in ensuring optimal business performance and exceeding customer expectations.

  • Conduct HS&E training and toolbox talks as required
  • Coordinate and manage workflow meeting customers' expectations
  • Plan, write and deliver training programs for employees, trainees and lower technical levels
  • Perform and supervise routine test work within set guidelines and priorities
  • Be the main liaison with existing clients to ensure client expectations are maintained

To succeed in this role, you will possess sound leadership skills, knowledge of occupational health and safety, industrial relations and communications processes. A formal qualification in chemistry and experience in minerals testing are desirable. Customer focus, problem-solving skills and a high standard of integrity, commitment and accuracy are essential.
