Research Coordinator Opportunity

The Department of Melanoma and Skin Cancer Trials is seeking a highly motivated Research Coordinator to provide support in coordinating research development activities, including new research proposals, grant application support, and communications events for the MASC Trials membership.

  • Develop relationships with MASC Trials members and researchers, clinicians, clinical trial staff, funders, and university representatives.
  • Coordinate research development activities, including new research proposals, grant applications, and communications events.
  • Support the work of the Scientific Advisory Committee and Discipline Specific Advisory Committees within MASC Trials.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications and relevant work experience, preferably in health sciences or a related field. They will possess highly developed communication skills, excellent administrative and organisational skills, and the ability to take initiative and operate independently and within a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support in coordinating research development activities.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate communications events and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications and relevant work experience.
  • Highly developed communication skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
Desirable Skills
  • A good working knowledge and experience in medical research grant administration processes and pre-award applications.
