Job Summary:

KinCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aged Care Professional to join our team in the Sutherland area. As a Home Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly customers, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver domestic assistance, including cleaning and maintaining a safe and beautiful living environment for our customers.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring our customers' nutritional needs are met.
  • Provide social support and transport to lifestyle activities, promoting social interaction and community engagement.
  • Offer personal care, including assistance with mobility, therapy goals, and medication management.
  • Provide respite and emotional support, helping our customers cope with the challenges of aging.
  • Transport customers to appointments, ensuring they receive necessary medical attention.
  • Deliver complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia, requiring specialized support and attention.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability, or Nursing.
  • At least 6 months of experience in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle are required for travel-related aspects of the job.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, prioritizing the needs of our customers.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work required.
