About Our Kitchen Team Member Role:

This role involves working closely with the kitchen staff to create high-quality meals. It requires the ability to teach and practice portion control, quality control, waste control, and product preparation techniques.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all kitchen food products meet the highest standards at all times.
  • Anticipate and respond promptly to guest needs and preferences.
  • Prepare a variety of dishes including sauces, soups, and hot items for service and special functions.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of recipes for every item on our menu.
  • Monitor food quality and quantity in relation to portion control.
  • Verify that proper storage techniques are being used and maintain the hotel's cleanliness standards.
  • Prepare and beautifully garnish pantry items such as salads, sandwiches, desserts, established menu items, and specialty dishes.
  • Order the correct amount of food products according to established hotel policies and procedures.
  • Complete work responsibilities and assignments efficiently and effectively.
  • Adhere to all standard recipes in all outlets.
  • Maintain personal appearance in accordance with hotel grooming standards.
  • Maintain harmonious relationships with other team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant food product knowledge.
  • Comply with all hotel operational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Familiarize yourself with and adhere to all hotel workplace health and safety guidelines (WH&S).
  • Promote the protection and maintenance of operating equipment.
  • Attend scheduled meetings.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
