Job DescriptionThe Channel Sales Engineer is a professional who works within the sales channel business to provide technical sales expertise to the Managed Service partner (MSP) community. This role is responsible for owning and orchestrating the sales engineering technical engagement and enablement across our SaaS MSPs.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with Commvault Sales & Managed Service partner Channel teams in ANZ to execute on strategies aligned to key focused SaaS MSP partners.
- Build and maintain relationships, working closely as a trusted resource for segments of our partner segment.
- Provide pre-sales support, assisting in demonstrations, technical presentations, and answering technical queries.
- Stay up-to-date on industry knowledge and technology trends.
- Develop effective technical sales strategies with partners and internal sales and supporting teams.
- Train and educate partners to ensure success of demonstrations, proof of value, scoping, and Managed Service partner sales campaigns.
- Build strong relationships with technical decision makers within partners and drive detailed, executable Technical Account Plans for all focus targets and current partners.
- Participate in trade events, conferences, partner sessions to generate leads and promote Commvault's solutions and services.
- Frequent travel within the region.
- Security, Cloud/SaaS and/or Data Management experience.
- 5+ years in the IT industry; 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales engineer or supporting role.
- Specialised knowledge/skills and demonstrated proficiency with at least one major open systems operating system, hypervisor, and cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of major workloads – M365, AD, D365, SQL, SAP, Oracle, Exchange, SharePoint, etc.
- Knowledge of SaaS infrastructure technologies – cloud, storage, servers, networking, hyper-convergence, etc.
- Technical selling methodology, gathering feedback to create product expertise with business, industry, and competitive acumen.
- Solid experience with business case creation and TCO modelling.
- Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain stakeholder and business relationships.
