About the Role

Monash Health is seeking a skilled and experienced Paediatric Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic team at Monash Children's Hospital. As a Grade 2 Speech Pathologist, you will provide clinical services to paediatric inpatients and outpatients, supporting the clinical education of students and contributing to service development and quality improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical services to paediatric inpatients and outpatients, including communication and swallowing services
  • Support the clinical education of students and contribute to service development and quality improvement projects
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary colleagues to foster clinical excellence and consistency of practice
  • Participate in the weekend roster and provide weekend services as required

We have Victoria's largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and provide leading paediatric services in many areas, including Rehabilitation & Oncology.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills, experience, and knowledge:

  • A speech pathology qualification
  • Eligibility for membership to Speech Pathology Australia
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in paediatrics and/or hospital-based speech pathology
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in the paediatric setting
  • Desirable - paediatric and infant feeding competency
  • Desirable - Paediatric videofluoroscopy competency
