High Growth FMCG Business Opportunity

Company Overview: A dynamic high growth PE portfolio company seeks an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the routine of financial reporting and control function as the 2IC to an excellent CFO.

The Opportunity: This is a unique chance to join a fast-paced business with a track record of growth, expanding across Australia and New Zealand through organic and strategic acquisitions.

The Challenge: As a key member of the executive management team, you will partner with the CFO to drive financial performance, manage risks, and ensure statutory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly financial close and statutory reporting obligations while maintaining and establishing appropriate financial control and risk management safeguards.
  • Lead the annual audit process with external auditors.
  • Monitor ongoing risk and compliance issues, including tax, treasury, accounting standards, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Manage statutory taxation obligations across Australia and New Zealand, including income tax filings, GST/BAS filings, FBT, and other compliance matters.
  • Ensure an appropriate internal control framework supported by relevant financial and risk management policies.
  • Oversee and manage cash flow and treasury, partnering closely with the CFO and ELT on financing strategies to meet key business objectives.
  • Oversee the accounting operations for the business, including accounting, AP, AR, and payroll staff.

Requirements:

  • An experienced accounting professional ready to take on a broad Financial Controller position.
  • A CA qualification, preferably from a leading Mid-Tier accounting firm or Big Four firms (KPMG, EY, Deloitte, PwC).
  • Proven finance leadership experience in a parallel industry, such as consumer goods, FMCG, wholesale, or retail.

Compensation: $180k + STI, Sydney CBD location, competitive benefits package.
