Key Responsibilities:
  • Platform Advancement: Developing and refining cutting-edge platforms and tools, leveraging expertise in software development and architecture.
  • Optimization Strategies: Collaborating with the Data Platform team to monitor and optimize resource utilization, striking a balance between performance and cost-effectiveness through strategic planning and execution.
  • System Monitoring & Tuning: Implementing monitoring tools and fine-tuning systems for optimal throughput, latency, and reliability, ensuring seamless access to data.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with global Data Platform teams, maintaining alignment on data strategy, tools, and best practices through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Designing, building, and managing scalable data pipelines using Spark, Databricks, and proprietary HPC tooling, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Developing and maintaining clear documentation of data pipeline architectures, processes, and best practices, facilitating knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and supporting the growth of the data engineering function, promoting skill development and expertise.
