About the Role
  • Leverage expertise to develop and drive data strategy across the organization, aligning with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver secure, timely, and trusted data products meeting business needs.
  • Promote and secure endorsement for data enablement investments and AI use cases.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and lead the development of AI strategy for the business unit portfolio, blending technical expertise with business acumen.
  2. Create and manage data products that meet business requirements, focusing on security, timeliness, and trustworthiness.
  3. Prioritize and prepare business cases to support data enablement investments and AI initiatives.
  4. Lead cross-functional teams encompassing strategy, data science, and domain architecture.
  5. Foster close relationships with key stakeholders, internal customers, and external experts.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 10-15 years' experience in senior leadership roles across data, analytics, and technology.
  • Significant experience in large, complex, data-driven organizations developing strategy and leading teams.
  • Experience in one or more corporate domains like People, HR, Finance & Procurement.
  • Demonstrated success driving innovative analytical and technical strategies growing revenue in a complex consumer-focused organization.
  • Tertiary qualification in a related field.
  • Involvement in strategy development and implementation; understanding market inter-relationships and implications.
  • Ability to contribute to strategy beyond own area and support development of segment strategy.
  • Excellent people management and team development skills; prior experience leading teams of data scientists and data engineers.
  • Strong stakeholder relations and influencing capabilities with experience presenting to and influencing at CEO and senior executive levels.
  • Customer-driven leader able to drive change and challenge the status quo.
