Job Title: Maintenance and Engineering Specialist

The Maintenance and Engineering Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of plant and equipment, leading and managing a Mechanical trades team, and providing technical advice to Manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve plant and equipment reliability through proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Lead and manage a Mechanical trades team, overseeing maintenance activities during facility shutdown periods.
  • Ensure preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently.
  • Investigate process, plant, and equipment failures, determine the cause of failure, and develop permanent solutions.
  • Provide technical advice in Manufacturing facilities on-site.
  • Develop close working relationships with personnel in Operations, Electrical & Instrumentation, System Owner Group, Planning & Support Group, and Quality.
  • Maintain training and documentation relevant to the mechanical team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electromechanical or Process Engineering.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance engineering position.
  • Experience in a batch manufacturing environment, specifically in filling / packaging / palletising.
  • Knowledge of maintenance systems and familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
