Support Worker Role

Our organization seeks a compassionate and skilled Support Worker to provide assistance to individuals with disabilities.

This is an opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others, promoting dignity, respect, and empowerment. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling our participants to live independently and pursue their goals and aspirations.

To be successful in this position, you will require excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. You must also be physically fit and able to lift, transfer, and support individuals as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess experience working with people with disabilities and mental health conditions. They should be confident in supporting adults, understanding individual needs and preferences, and providing personal care with compassion and respect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing manual handling, catheter care, and personal care with dignity
  • FOLLOWING SUPPORT PLANS AND COMMUNICATING EFFECTIVELY WITH PARTICIPANTS AND TEAM MEMBERS
  • Working independently and as part of a team-based environment
  • Adapting to changing situations and priorities

Requirements:

  • Current driver's license
  • Own car and insurance
  • Availability to work on a 24-hour rotating roster over a 7-day period
