Nurse - General Medical Ward

The Northwest Regional Hospital Medical Unit is comprised of a 27-bed General Medical Ward, an Isolation Ward with 15 beds, and an Acute Medical Unit (AMU) for short-stay patients. The unit provides comprehensive care to patients with complex conditions like stroke, palliative care, respiratory, and cardiac issues, and acute delirium.

The Role of the Enrolled NurseThe role involves contributing to positive health outcomes by providing safe, quality, person-centred nursing care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. This involves collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare teams to deliver effective patient care.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Experience working in acute medical ward settings is essential
- Confidence in applying nursing principles and procedures
- Able to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated sound communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with relevant legislation and commitment to respectful, person-centred care are crucial.
