About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our client's team. This role is perfect for a professional with an engineering background who excels in operations management and is eager to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. As the Operations Manager, you will lead a dynamic team, optimize production processes, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Daily Operations: Ensure that production goals are met and quality standards are upheld at our client's FMCG facility.
- Lead and Motivate a Team: Create a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within a diverse team.
- Develop Strategic Operational Plans: Enhance productivity, reduce costs, and streamline processes to drive business growth.
- Collaborate with Departments: Work closely with production, quality control, logistics, and supply chain departments to ensure cohesive and efficient operations.
- Monitor KPIs: Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes to drive operational excellence.
- Ensure Compliance: Promote a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Drive Process Improvements: Utilize your engineering background to drive process improvements and equipment optimization initiatives.
- Manage Budgets: Effectively manage budgets and resource allocation to achieve business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Operations Management Experience: Proven track record in operations management within the FMCG industry or a similarly fast-paced environment.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Problem-Solving Capabilities: Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a proactive, hands-on approach to operational challenges.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
