Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Fitness Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the group fitness program, ensuring high-quality classes and managing the instructor team.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Timetable Management: Develop and maintain the group fitness timetable by providing recommendations to the Fitness Manager regarding adding or removing classes based upon performance and attendance
  • Quality Control: Ensure the quality control of services and programs provided to members
  • Member Feedback: Conduct regular member feedback sessions and surveys to establish satisfaction levels
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete all administrative, point of sale and clerical tasks
  • Class Development: Actively seek to establish new and innovative classes to maintain a fresh and vibrant timetable
  • Event Participation: Participate in special events such as open days, launches, seminars, functions and other special promotional events
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Group Fitness Instructor, preferably with previous experience in Group Fitness Coordination or a similar leadership role within the fitness industry
  • Current Senior First Aid and CPR Certificates, or willingness to obtain
  • Certificate III in Fitness and registration with Fitness Australia
  • Les Mills Instructors must hold current certification from Les Mills Australia
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients
  • High level of proficiency in using computer software and applications relevant to administrative tasks
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating capability to work independently
  • Currently possess a National Police Check and Positive Notice Blue Card, or willingness to obtain
