About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Community Facilities Planning Support Officer to join our team at the City of Moreton Bay. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our region, working closely with our Community Facilities Planning, Access and Inclusion, and Aboriginal Cultural Heritage teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Development and Maintenance
    • Develop, review, and maintain processes, templates, and resources to support business operations.
  • Project Support
    • Assess, review, and provide responses to internal information and project referral requests.
    • Research and prepare documentation, including briefing notes, council reports, and presentations.
    • Provide project support, including coordination and maintenance of project registers, event logistics, and procurement processes.
  • Administrative Support
    • Provide various administrative support across the branch, including email triage and processing of incoming and outgoing communications.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills
    • Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with experience in advanced functions, data analysis, and spreadsheet management.
    • Experience with financial management systems, including raising and processing invoices.
  • Business Acumen
    • Ability to identify process improvement and develop effective resources and templates.
    • Experience in the preparation of high-quality documentation.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
    • Well-developed time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
    • Well-developed communication skills with a strong focus on quality customer service and relationship building.
