Clinical Research Associate

The University of Queensland is seeking a skilled Clinical Research Associate to support a partnership between World Rugby, Rugby Australia, and the Great Public Schools Association. The project focuses on developing a biomarker for concussion diagnosis and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide support to staff at individual GPS schools, assisting with bio-sample collection, record keeping, and facilitating data collection processes.
- Collect bio-samples, including blood, saliva, and finger-prick samples, with previous experience in phlebotomy being essential.
- Transport or book sample transport, ensuring correct packaging and labelling.
- Complete SCAT5 and HIA2 assessments and record results in the World Rugby SCRM database.
- Provide instructions for computer-based cognitive testing and supervise test-taking.
- Tertiary qualifications in a science or healthcare discipline, or relevant senior experience working in a science or healthcare setting.
- Previous training and experience in Phlebotomy are essential, with experience in conducting venepuncture on adolescents highly regarded.
- Must have own reliable transport to travel to study sites.
- Must hold a Blue Card for working with children (can be organized through UQ).

What We OfferThis casual position offers a competitive hourly rate of $49.37-$52.12, plus superannuation of 11.5%. You will also receive regular remuneration increases in line with the Enterprise Agreement.
