The company is a leading provider of specialty lubricants in the Australasian market. They offer a wide range of products for various industries, including marine, food and beverage, ports and harbours, mining, heavy industrial, and agriculture.

The company is known for their innovative and high-quality lubricants, including Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants (EALs), which are designed to minimize environmental impact while maintaining superior performance. They provide technical support and oil condition monitoring services.

The Position:

As a Technical Service Engineer, you will possess a strong commercial and technical understanding of lubricants and how they can support a business's reliability goals. Your role will be to provide expert product selection, application knowledge and technical service.

Duties Include:

  • Customer facing role with regular field-based travel across Australia.
  • Engaging with large clients and key OEM's.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting, both remotely and on-site.
  • Complete site lubrication audits and asset reviews and document accordingly.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the products and equipment, providing insight into how the services or products delivered add value to the customer's operations.
  • Maintain awareness of global and in-country technological developments.
  • Understand new product development features/benefits, train sales representatives, run product trials and produce technical documentation.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • A technical background and understanding of lubricants are essential.
  • Must demonstrate a commercial acumen and have exemplary customer service skills.
  • Relationships within the Mining space are advantageous.
  • Understand HSE requirements, contractual obligations, warranties, and service agreements.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Must be able and willing to travel when required.
