About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mine Planning Engineer with a background in Underground Coal Mining to join our client's team. As a result of an internal promotion, we are actively recruiting for a skilled Mine Planning Engineer to provide technical support in the implementation and monitoring of the Mine Planning System, Processes, and Development.
Key Responsibilities- Support the implementation of the Mine Planning Systems, including Guidelines, Standards, Procedures, Templates, and Tools.
- Assist with the implementation of the Resource Development Plan (RDP) process for each operating site.
- Facilitate the development of the Long-Term Operating Plan (LOM Plan), 5-Year Plan, and Annual Operating Plan.
- Provide mine modeling support to operations and assist the Principal & Chief Engineer with mine planning and technical advice to operating sites.
- Conduct brown field and green field feasibility studies and prepare preliminary and detailed mine designs, methods, and mine plans using various mine planning tools.
- Assist in Coal Reserve estimation, documentation, and report reviews.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (Mining, Geotechnical, etc.).
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing underground mine planning systems and development.
- Demonstrated technical ability in strategic underground mine planning.
- Highly developed skills in mine design and scheduling.
- Understanding of various mine planning software, including their applications and limitations.
- Excellent remuneration package.
- Performance-related STIP.
