">Job Overview">

Our underground mine, located 14km northwest of Singleton, has been operational for nearly 20 years. The mine produces semi-soft coking coal for export through the Port of Newcastle, used in the steel manufacturing industry and thermal coal for power generation.

The successful applicant will report to the shift Undermanager and be responsible for:

  • Managing, planning and organising resources for their area of responsibility to deliver a safe and productive crew performance.">

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership role at an Underground Coal Mine.">

  • A Certificate of Competence - Deputy.">
">
  • ">
  • Proven commitment to safety and experience effectively leading a team.">

  • ">
  • Sound knowledge of the Coal Mining Health & Safety Legislation.">

  • ">
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.">

  • ">
  • The ability to positively influence and negotiate direct reports.">
