Job Title: Director of Educational Excellence

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to lead an influential professional association dedicated to supporting mathematics educators across Western Australia. The role offers the chance to shape the future of mathematics teaching, contribute to systemic improvements, and collaborate with a passionate community of educators and leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic direction for the organization's programs, partnerships, and member services.
  • BUILD strong relationships with stakeholders, government bodies, and the wider education sector.
  • Lead and inspire a team to deliver innovative and impactful professional learning, events, and resources.
  • Manage and grow student activities, focusing on coordinating, expanding, and teacher support of the Problem Solving Program.
  • SUPPORT the Board in maintaining compliance and upholding good governance.
  • Champion the organization's reach, influence, and reputation across WA and nationally.
  • Drive membership growth and engagement through responsive, high-quality offerings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a school, system, or education organization.
  • Effective communication and advocacy skills.
  • Understanding of how membership-based organizations operate, with experience in governance and working alongside boards or committees.
  • PASSION FOR inclusive, engaging approaches to mathematics education.
  • Business acumen and strategic thinking to drive organizational growth.
  • Ability to build and lead teams to deliver events, programs, and initiatives.
  • Genuine relationship-building skills with a wide range of stakeholders.
