Job Title: Global Trade Manager

At our organization, we are seeking a highly skilled Global Trade Manager to operate out of our Business Office in Australia. This role will support the timely and compliant import, export, and re-export of key items.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring international trade related activities are conducted in accordance with U.S. and Australian laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring regulatory changes impacting the program and ensuring updates to business operations and systems
  • Maintaining databases of export jurisdiction, classification of goods, technology, software and services, and harmonized tariff schedule (HTS)
  • Coordinating registration and renewal activities
  • SUPPORTING governmental inquiries and audits regarding GT activities
  • Maintaining applicable trade compliance records and metrics
  • Managing international trade related Power of Attorney and Standard Operating Procedures activities

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Arts (BA)/Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or similar with 5 or more years of relevant experience in a business role involving management of international trade requirements. Alternatively, 7 or more years of relevant experience without tertiary qualifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Australian entity registration, import, customs and export laws and requirements
  • Knowledge of U.S. ITAR and EAR export requirements, and other applicable laws and regulations (and governing agencies) related to international trade
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage and meet multiple goals, plans and milestones with focus on results
