Delivering Compliance Expertise on a Global Scale

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a specialist in global trade control matters. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and the ability to provide guidance and support to ensure compliance.

The role involves leading on global trade control matters relating to import/export for our business against Australian export controls regulations, US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). This requires a high level of expertise and the ability to analyze complex regulatory requirements and develop effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer daily guidance to local entities on regulatory trade compliance issues and areas of risk.
  • Develop and deliver trade compliance training to employees
  • Research and identify regulatory and legislative requirements, conduct impact analysis, and ensure proper communication
  • Analyze regulatory requirements for new opportunities and provide guidance through the implementation phase
  • Conduct program compliance assessments and individual training, as needed
  • Provide input into the development and update of processes and procedures
  • Participate in internal trade compliance audits of export and import activities.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Experience within the Defence or Government industry, preferably with GTC
  • Strong people and communication skills
  • Process-oriented with good attention to detail
  • Ability to plan out a program's GTC needs
  • Ability to stay abreast of any GTC changes affecting planning schedules
