Job Overview

This is a key leadership position at the Department of Education Western Australia.

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the school's critical components, including financial management, asset maintenance, and human resource coordination.

">Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive oversight of the school's operations, ensuring the delivery of business outcomes and customer service principles and practices.
  • Supervise support staff and guide them in the administration of tasks related to financial management, asset maintenance, and human resource coordination.
  • Administer and report on the financial integrity of the school's business operations, offering valuable input into financial planning and budgeting.
  • Participate in committees and working groups to ensure strategies align with both school-based and regional business targets.

Requirements:

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting.
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, sound communication skills, and the ability to use effective negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated sound financial management skills, including budget preparation and the ability to interpret and apply financial and accounting practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrated sound human resource management skills, including the ability to develop and/or apply human resource management practices and systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide input into the development, implementation, and monitoring of business and marketing plans.
  • Demonstrated sound conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
