Job Summary

Burger Urge is seeking an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to join our team at our Cairns restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading a team of enthusiastic staff members and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role in the restaurant or hospitality industry. They will possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in all aspects of managing the restaurant, including staff management, food safety, customer service, inventory management, and financial performance.
  • Train and supervise staff, ensuring that all employees are properly trained in company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that the restaurant meets all food safety and sanitation standards, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure efficient operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage the scheduling of employees and ensure that all shifts are covered.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and promotional activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
