Logistics Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to oversee our purchasing, accounts support, vendor management, and stores control across our factory operations.

This is a key site-based role responsible for leading efficient processes, cost-effective operations, and high levels of compliance. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accurate payments, resolve transactional issues, and manage timely freight deliveries.

  1. Purchasing & Receiving: Oversee purchasing and receiving processes to ensure alignment with company policies and drive cost-effective practices
  2. Supply Agreements: Monitor contract compliance and identify opportunities to improve supplier value and engagement
  3. Accounts Payable Support: Resolve transactional issues, process overseas payments, and ensure accurate, on-time supplier payments
  4. Freight Management: Validate freight invoices, analyse costs, and manage timely and accurate payments
  5. Internal Controls & Audits: Support internal/external audits, ensure policy compliance, and identify opportunities for system improvements
  6. Financial Accuracy: Reconcile accounts, ensure correct classification of expenses, and support GL reporting accuracy
  7. Vendor Management: Streamline vendor lists, monitor performance, resolve issues, and support strong supplier relationships
  8. Stores & Inventory: Optimise stock levels, manage consignment and PMA stock, and fully integrate SAP across site stores operations
About This Role

We are looking for someone who brings strong operational and commercial capability, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration. Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Strong understanding of purchasing, AP, vendor, and inventory processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong SAP and Excel skills
  • The ability to partner across teams and influence positive change
  • A continuous improvement mindset and ability to work independently
