About the Role


We are seeking a seasoned Maritime Design Director to lead our team in delivering innovative solutions for maritime infrastructure projects.

As a Maritime Design Director, you will be responsible for leading large-scale projects, managing complex requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.


Your expertise in maritime design, project management, and leadership will enable you to drive business growth and develop strong relationships with clients.



Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage large-scale maritime design projects from feasibility to construction phase services
  • Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality results
  • Manage complex requirements, stakeholder expectations, and conflicting priorities to achieve project objectives
  • Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and excellence within the team


Requirements:

  • Eligible for Australian Defence clearance (i.e., Australian Citizenship required)
  • Extensive professional experience in infrastructure sector designing &/or delivering Maritime projects
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including leading large, multidisciplinary projects with complex requirements
  • Demonstrated proposal preparation experience along with the ability to write clearly and fluently about technical subjects or project delivery methodologies
  • Experience working with the Defence sector and an understanding of how the Defence sector manages projects
  • Experience in the assessment, analysis, design and remediation of maritime structures (wharves, jetties, port developments, marinas, seawalls, pontoons etc)
  • Familiarity with maritime (Australian or other) design codes and guidelines in Australia and Asia
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
  • Eligible for Chartered Professional Membership and/or RPEQ/RPEV accreditation, or ability to apply for within agreed timeframe
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders and build effective project teams
