Job Opportunity

The Senior Officer plays a pivotal role in providing expert advice to project teams, managers, and district staff on various acts and regulations. The position requires the coordination of road corridor permits, management of works, and identification of land management issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide informed guidance on applications made under the Planning Act, Transport Infrastructure Act, and public utility acts.
  • Implement strategic risk management approaches, including site visits and formalising conditions for construction, approval, or rejection.
  • Coordinate road corridor permits to ensure necessary conditions are met for third-party and Public Utilities & Plant activities.
  • Contribute to an efficient road network with minimal environmental impact and high safety standards.
  • Manage works to meet required timeframes, cost, quality, and service standards.
  • Identify and investigate corridor land management issues and provide policy recommendations.
  • Manage compulsory acquisition of land, easements, and native title rights.
  • Provide advice on property resumptions, early acquisitions, and land disposal.
  • Prepare and deliver briefing notes, ministerials, and reports to senior management.
