As an electrical trainee, you will play a vital role in designing additions and alterations to the electricity distribution network.

Our team is responsible for ensuring safe and reliable supply of electricity to our customers.

Key responsibilities include designing overhead and underground electrical lines and structures, as well as working with construction crews to bring these designs to life.

Upon completion of our three-year program, you may have the opportunity to step into one of several exciting careers within our organization.

These roles may include technical design officer, project manager, customer requests officer, maintenance officer, or technical drafting officer.

Trainees will earn an Advanced Diploma – ESI Power Systems (Design) qualification.

To be eligible, candidates must meet one of the following prerequisites:

  • Units 1 & 2 pass in Maths Methods OR Physics (Year 11 equivalent); or
  • Currently completing (or completed) a Diploma in an electrical field*

*If currently completing a prerequisite subject, they are eligible to apply, provided it will be successfully completed by the end of the academic year.
