Role Overview

As a key member of our Commercial Advisory service line, you will play a vital role in supporting our public sector clients in all aspects of Commercial and Procurement Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial and procurement strategies to drive business growth and improve outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice on complex commercial and procurement matters, including contract negotiations and management.
  • Support the development of procurement plans, tendering processes, and contract management activities.
  • Prepare and review procurement documentation, including requests for tender and approach to market.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities, and provide comprehensive written advice.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to drive outcomes and foster collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, procurement policies, and quality standards throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience working in a commercial or procurement role, preferably in a government or public sector environment.
  • Bachelor of Laws and/or Business with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of government contracting and procurement templates, including the ASDEFCON contracting suites.
  • Understanding of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act (PGPA) and the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals within specified timelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a track record of delivering successful outcomes in complex environments.
  • Australian citizenship and security clearance (NV1 or higher) is required.
