As an Electrical Fitter Submariner with the Australian Defence Force, you'll be responsible for ensuring the peak working order of submarines.

The role involves operating, diagnosing and maintaining electrical systems onboard submarines and ashore, including hydraulic systems, refrigeration systems and high voltage power generation.

You'll work in a team to operate engineering systems and conduct maintenance, ensuring mission-capable electrical and mechanical systems onboard your submarine.

You'll gain a Certificate III in Electrical Fitting, with opportunities to obtain further qualifications up to and including a Diploma.

In addition to your core responsibilities, you may be required to perform additional duties such as boat security, firefighting, flood repair, first aid, medical emergency response or ceremonial duties.

Estimated annual salary: $70,000 - $100,000 AUD depending on experience and location.
