In this role, you'll operate, diagnose and maintain propulsion systems onboard submarines and ashore, including hydraulic systems, diesel engines and auxiliary systems.

You'll have opportunities to gain a Certificate III in Engineering - Fixed Mobile and Plant Mechanic, with potential for further qualifications up to Diploma level.

As a submariner, you'll work as part of a team, operating engineering systems and conducting maintenance to keep electrical and mechanical systems onboard your submarine mission-capable.

This is a stable workforce with direct impact on Navy missions and operations at sea.

Your responsibilities will include additional duties such as boat security, firefighting, flood repair, first aid, medical emergency response and ceremonial duties.
